There is no formal mechanics team as each of the other three subteams divide work as needed. Mechanical work focuses on constructing a car chassis performs consistently, is easily modifiable, and is as simple as possible. Key mechanical aspects of the car include a sturdy steel & aluminum frame, multiple levels, and modular parts for easy maintenance or replacement. Mechanical work for the car typically includes designing and iterating through custom parts and creating them either by working with the machine shop or printing them on our ABS and resin 3D printers.
